I’ve been thinking a lot lately about anger, and how different people express their anger. Some people withdraw into themselves, some people get quiet, some people have tantrums, some blow up… the expressions continue.
The thing is that whenever people express anger it’s because they are hurt about something. Maybe they feel disrespected, maybe they feel betrayed, maybe they feel unappreciated, maybe they’re tired, maybe they’re insecure… whatever the case, the anger is just a sign of other underlying issues.
So when someone is angry around you, just realize that what they are trying to say is “I’m not angry, I’m hurt.”
And if you care enough about them, do your best to find the source of the anger, but if you don’t care as much, just stay out of the way, so they can resolve their issues in peace.
